As a young girl I had a dream. One day I want to be fashion designer and have my own collection. Last autumn that dream came true when I took part in wedding designer of the year competition and made my first collection. My collection got special mention of the jury at the competition. I still remember how it felt taking part in the competition, the excitement and getting awards, it was amazing. When you have dreamed of something for so long and finally got courage to make it happen and even awarded for it. That was just beyond awesome.

The collection I made for the competition is now sale on my website The collection will grow little by little. The idea of collection is that the clothes are simple and timeless. You can change little details if you want. And the best part... all clothes are made to measure. You can get a dress that actually fits.

All pieces of my collection are 100% pure silk inside out. Why? Because silk is the most beautiful, it feels so good on skin and it's a natural fiber. As Silk can be dyed in other colors as well, it means, that after the wedding you can use your wedding dress as an evening dress.

Little secret... The collection is also available in black. Please ask other colors as well. My first collection... It isn't only a wedding collection: It's an evening collection in the same time.

All clothes are handmade in Finland. They are made specially for you. Collection is also available in standard women sizes. Delivery time is 12 weeks to all countries. Don't hesitate to ask more Check also company Instagram page @annalindhofficial.

Awesome day to all of you!

Remember to dream... Dreams come true... sometimes little by little...

Love, Anna

Summer is over and Fall is about to begin. There is a sense of soft Autumn freshness and crispiness in the air. This Fall will be very interesting. I am for the first time going to participate in Love Me Do fair with my company. Due to that, I have for the first time in my life taken part in a design competition. I am competing for a 2018 Wedding Designer of the Year award. So far, I have been selected to the best finalists group.

For this competition, a collection of 3 gowns needed to be created. Designing a collection has been on my goal list for a long time. When 2 years ago I established my company, the idea of my own collection was born. However, my beloved family needed me a lot during that time, which is why designing a collection needed to be postponed. My lovely grandmother was in the US and was living her very last days. I prioritised my agenda, and so during the past 2 years I have spent as much time in the US, as I possibly could.

It is known, that usually things tend to work out. It was the case here too. The past 2 years have taught me a lot. I got familiarised with a new culture, gotten to know absolutely wonderful people, enjoyed sunshine and felt the love of a dear person, not forgetting the countless stories about the life and love of my dear grandma and grandpa. When two people have spent 70 years together, there is no shortage of stories to be told. But even more important than the stories themselves, were the hand holdings, the I love you's, and the loving glances my grandparents granted each other until the very last moments.

Inspired by all this, my first collection was born. I drew the collection, in Florida, US, in my grandparents’ home. It was exactly the right place for drawing the collection. My own style is quite simple and minimalistic. I have, however, inspired by the American style, added a dash of golden details to my collection. The gowns are created of silk from linings to top fabrics. The collection is a mix of Finnish Scandinavian style with a dash of American bling. It was designed with love, in a place very dear to me.

I purchased the fabrics for the gowns from:

Photos of the gowns taken by the very talanted wedding photographer Susanna Nordvall:

We took the photos at Löyly, on a beautiful summer day:

Models from Modelboom Melinda & Ken:

and Paparazzi Amanda & Jasmin:

Beautiful flower arrangements for the photoshoot by Pinja Drufva:

Although the models were stunning, make up and hair artists were still needed, and I want to thank Miia Ollula for make up:

and Ester Räsänen & Heidi Kainamo for the hair styling.

Designing a collection has been my dream for a long time. This collection is small, but even more so important. I also really want to thank my children for their patience, and all my friends and people close to me for their immense support. The road of an entrepreneur is an independent one, but no one can make it without a support circle.

Thank you to everyone! Do come and say hello to me at Love Me Do- wedding fair at the stand number 42. I would also hugely appreciate it, if you took the time to give your vote for my gowns.

Wishing you a beautiful and crispy Autumn.

With love,

Last weekend I saw my first butterfly of this spring. Brimstone butterfly fluttered beautifully amongst the flowers. That butterfly definitely represented something. The spring had properly begun, and the summer is on it’s way.

Inspired by the spring and summer, I decided to write about a butterfly exhibition we visited with my children during the ski holidays. I had intended to write about the exhibition already a while ago, but amidst the daily hustle the butterflies got overshadowed by more important matters.

The butterfly exhibition was a tropical garden, where the butterflies fluttered around freely, in a place called Fjärilshuset. This venue is situated in Stockholm Sweden, and you can find more information about it from the following link:

I warmly recommend visiting there. You can get an idea about what that place looks like from this blog post, but only by visiting the place yourself can you truly experience the beauty of it. As the matter of fact, I thought I was going to an Aquarium to see the fish and the sharks, but surprisingly, there was this beautiful butterfly exhibition. Might I mention, that also my sons seemed to enjoy the butterflies more than the fish, because the butterflies lived in freedom, fluttered around, and followed the attractive colored clothing and footwear.

The place in question is situated in the middle of a large and beautiful garden. It was winter, when we visited. In the winter the tropical heat inside the building felt absolutely wonderful. The parade of flowers, and colorful, large butterflies were an incredible sight to experience. I imagine, that the place is quite something in the summer as well. There was also a café/restaurant, which in my opinion was also very beautiful. The entire building was like a large summery greenhouse, and the atmosphere was just as incredible.

A friend of mine shared that she was at Fjärilshuset at a wedding. I can just imagine, how incredible of a venue this place would make for a party. I really recommend visiting this place especially for those of you, who enjoy taking photos. You could take absolutely stunning photos in this place. I myself got a lot of inspiration for my future work projects, especially for the outfits for little girls. Sometimes, you can find most beautiful places quite by accident.

May your spring be beautiful!

Love, Anna
